Bottiglia Cucina & Enoteca @ Green Valley Ranch

This restaurant is truly beautiful! It feels so light and airy, almost like someplace you would dine at in the Hamptons. We chose to sit at the bar, however they have bar height table seating, regular dining area, lounge seating, AND a covered patio. Safe to say they have all seating options covered. Side note, our bartender was Celeste and she was AWESOME- shot out to Celeste!

The food is advertised as “sophisticated rustic Italian fare” and I believe you will agree. They offer Happy hour daily/ M-F, 5-7pm with 6$ food and drinks, “Vine and Dine” Thursdays (50% off bottles), Sunday Brunch 1130-3pm, and live music on Fridays. The menu is a pretty good array of small plates, salads, antipasti, meat, fish, and even formaggi/ salumi. Certainly something for every palette. Wine menu is a beautiful selection of Napa/Sonoma and Italian wines. Cocktails looked just as impressive.

As far as what we ordered:

Meatballs 12: gravy, garlic lemon bread crumbs, burrata (6$ though for HH)

Arancini 13: risotto, fontina cheese, bolognese sauce (6$ though for HH)

Beef carpaccio 14: (My Favorite) rib eye, cherry pepper aioli, crispy poached egg, hearts of palm

Pan roasted halibut 28: farro risotto, carrot purée, peas

The meatballs and arancini were on the happy hour menu (which to be honest doesn’t include much in addition to these 2). I thought both had great texture, meat was cooked great and the arancini has a nice crisp outside. The halibut was buttery and I was blown away how good that carrot purée was. I think baby food when I think about carrot purée, however this was SO DELICIOUS. The highlight for me personally was the beef carpaccio. It had rich flavors, perfectly sliced ribeye, and then great zest and crunch with the hearts of palm and the outside of the crispy poached egg. Enough acidity to cut the richness and everything texturally I was in love with. Full disclosure, I was 2 glasses of wine in throughout the meal, but I truly enjoyed this meal. Sitting at the bar was a fun way to socialize and enjoy my surroundings because this place is just really pleasing to the eye. Hats off to the interior design team. I have a lot more I would like to go back and try!
