If you have lived in Henderson/ Las Vegas for some time, I am sure you have visited Elephant Bar ( Green Valley/ District). However, you may not be aware that they recently introduced a new menu featuring made from scratch items as well as still keeping some of your favorites. Global cuisine made from scratch. Now I will leave it up to you to formulate your own opinion with the menu reno, but let me share my experience and what I tried.. Shall we? ( Now try to imagine if I was talking to you in person– you would get the inflection in that “shall we” and I would gesture to you as if we were going on adventure, like in an “after you” motion, LOL)
So first, restaurant location is great, totally visually appealing as well as clean and welcoming. Service was very good and waitress was super knowledgeable about the menu items and made good recommendations. Drum roll please…

My absolute favorites were 100% the new craft cocktail menu, dessert, coconut shrimp, and the pub burger. The cocktails were pretty bomb. They have definitely stepped up the liquor quality and menu options. They also are offering a great wine list as well. As far as food I really enjoyed that coconut shrimp. The outer later was crisp and sweet just in the right spots and dipping sauce was delectable.
I am always hesitant to order burgers from a restaurant. I am just the type of person who prefers fast food/casual burger places. I always get overwhelmed with the size of restaurant burgers and they never taste as good to me. However, that’s just my palette. This burger however was REALLY tender, great flavor, melty and crispy where it needed to be, savory and amazing smoke on that bacon. The addition of the beer battered onion ring didn’t suck… Dessert was the highlight for me personally. That gooey butter cake was madness. I was a huge fan (and who really dislikes a fresh baked cookie w/ ice cream) of the cookie dessert. It was pretty much a skillet cookie and I did half/half (which btw should just be protocol everywhere.. ), and it was gooey baked goodness with nice and cold creamy ice cream.
So if you are a local definitely stop in and see what you think of this new menu. Heck, just stop in and have some drinks! You can get the pub burger and a beer at Happy Hour for 9$ They have multiple California locations as well. Tell em Closet Fat Girl sent ya! ( JK thats not really going to do anything for ya, but it sounded cool)
